Preserving the history of Filipino Americans in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area

Our Mission

The Rita M. Cacas Foundation (RMCF) is a non-profit, charitable organization that helps acquire, preserve, and provide access to histories, culture, and archives of Filipino Americans in metropolitan Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia for all generations today, and into the future.
The RMCF has four main goals:
  1. Support the Filipino American Community Archives (FACA), a special collection in the University of Maryland Libraries, College Park, MD;
  2. Support and share projects about DC area Filipino American history and culture;
  3. Offer education, outreach and inclusion, and access to the community archives;
  4. Provide funds and resources that support the RMCF mission and activities.
